Low Polygon is an emerging Italian band blending electronic and acoustic elements into an electro-driven rock language defined by sharp rhythms and layered sonic structures. Inspired by the angular abstraction of low-polygon 3D modeling, the band’s name references constructed geometry, repetition, and dimensional layering that directly inform the visual identity.

Federico Agnelli and Riccardo De Capitan developed a bespoke modular display typeface constructed from repeated three-dimensional units that assemble into letterforms through accumulation and subtraction. The Low Polygon type system operates as a visual analogue to the band’s sound, translating rhythmic loops and layered structures into geometric variation. By altering density and spatial distribution, the letters shift between open and compressed forms, producing tension and visual cadence across vinyl labels, posters, motion graphics, and merchandise. The system extends into a tightly spaced logotype and monogram formed by an “L” and inverted “P,” reinforcing the identity’s structural coherence.

The result is a cohesive visual language that transforms minimal geometric units into a dynamic typographic instrument, aligning sound, structure, and visual form into a distinctly contemporary identity.
